Opening

The regular meeting of theAMERICAN LEGION POST 1919 was called to order at1905 hrs.on10 Oct 2023by Commander Michael Harris.

Previous meeting minutes were distributed to attendees.

Motion to approve by Michael Roderick, Second by Doree Boger

Thanksgiving Boxes by Sertoma Club

• Boxes are $40 each
• For needy families around the Greenwood area

     Motion to give $240 for six (6) boxes made by Dave Everett, Second Garry Toddy

     Motion Carried.

Walk-In Cooler for VFW

• $11,000 collected so far of the $13,500 needed

     Motion made by Dave to give $1000, Second Randy Bowman

     Motion Carried.

Election to replace resigned Adjutant

• Terry Smiley elected

District Meeting

• Probably another meeting second week of November

National Commander to reschedule post visit.  Time/Day TBD

Commander Michael Harris spoke about the Christmas fund money. Looking for ideas for this year.  Wrapping up by end of October.
