Opening

The regular meeting of the AMERICAN LEGION POST 1919 was called to order at 1900 hrs. on 11 APR 2023 by 1^st Vice Commander Dexter Albright.

Dory Boger put a motion on the floor to commit $250 to the VFW to offset cost of new AED machine. (defibrillator)

Dave Everret put a motion on the floor to commit $75 to boy Scouts to help offset the cost of American Flag disposal in Franklin, IN.

Post Elections will be held 9 May 2023. Emails have been sent to the membership to as for nominations. All members are encouraged to attend.

Normal business will be suspended on 9 May to accomplish nominations.

Good of Legion

  • Post 1919 data form due to state by 15 April. (completed)
  • April district meeting at Bloomington on 22 April.
  • May district meeting in Mooresville for district planning and post everlasting.
  • Close of books for post is June.
  • Dexter Albright, owner of ABC Pro, won the Business of the Year Award from Department. He will now be nominated at the National Level.
  • Nominations discussion. Dexter reviewed the list of officers to be nominated.
  • Dave Everret nominated Ted McDonald as Sgt. of Arms. Ted accepted nomination.
  • Michael Roderick – Reminder of the Franklin Train Show
  • Dave Everret – Presented Post Founder Tags to Steve Milbourn and Mike Delaney.

Closing ceremonies performed.
