Opening

The regular meeting of the AMERICAN LEGION POST 1919 at 1902 hrs.  12 August 2025 by First Vice Commander Michael Roderick.

Previous meeting minutes distributed to attendees.

Membership Committee

Reminder emails will be going out next week to alert passed due membership.

Dues have increased to $55. The 10-year option is still available. It is a Department program and the cost is $400 for 2025. This is still your best option. If you are a 10-year member, you will still get a renewal note from National. You are paid up. National has a 3-year program at $55 each, $165 total. Membership year has begun, so renew today! Early Bird stamp will be available until 1 September 2025.

 

SAL

Dirk Titus Commander Squadron 1919.

Meetings are on the Fourth Thursday of the Month.

  • 25 September 2025.

SAL has taken responsibility for the cleaning/upkeep of the POW/MIA area. A ‘deep’ clean will be twice annually, January and July. Look for opportunities to help or lead.

$20 membership dues.

• New Point of Sale (POS) system being installed by VFW to help with gaming.
• VFW may need funds in the future for Wi-Fi connections.

 

Entertainment Committee

• Meetings are the first Saturday of month at 1100 Hours.

Flag Committee

• Help with cleaning and replacing area business flags.
• American Legion Flag and Emblem has a ‘Flag Rewards’ program in which we can received credit for each flag ordered with our post 1919 listed on the form.
