Opening

The regular meeting of the AMERICAN LEGION POST 1919 was called to order at 1900 hrs. on 11 July 2023 by 1^st Commander Mike Harris.

Dave asked to be chair, asked Gary Totty and John Reischman to join Committee. New cards are in for this year. Dues are going up and a 10 year plan is presented. Received award for consecutive years. Early bird cutoff date for 1Sep2023.

Good of the Legion

• Dave Everett presented having district meeting at post for September, April, or May. Military hall of fame nominees if any. Membership needs over 180 members and goal is 200.
• Franklin Train Show at Johnson County fairgrounds Aug 5 and 6
• Commander wants to put a committee together for events throughout the year
• Commander handed out certificates from Larry year for helping at the train show

Pass the Hat and 50/50.

Closing ceremonies performed.

Meeting was adjourned at 2000 hrs. by Post Commander Michael Harris. The next general meeting will be at 1900 hrs. on 11 JULY 2023.
